Abstract
The Joint Action on Networks of Expertise (JANE) focuses on the creation of six new ‘Networks of Expertise’ in oncology at European level. These networks will have to deal with areas of high complexity, bringing together expertise and infrastructures from different countries.
Modelled on what has been experimented at EU level with the European Reference Networks for Rare Cancers (ERNs), these new Networks of Expertise will deal with:
- personalised primary prevention
- survivorship;
- palliative care;
- omics’ technologies;
- high-tech medical resources;
- complex and low-prognosis cancers.
- young adults with cancer
The Joint Action – that gathers 36 partners from 16 European countries – will perform a critical analysis of past or ongoing networking experiences, and develop all the necessary preparatory steps for the first ‘Call for Interest’ for each of these six networks.
ACC is involved in WP7, which will focus on the Network of Expertise dedicated to Survivorship Care.
